Inspiration Anytime and Anywhere: The New Pexels Mobile App is Here

Browse millions of incredible free photos, create your own curated collections, and find new inspiration daily with the new Pexels mobile app.

With over 3 million photos at your fingertips, the Pexels mobile app is a powerful tool for any creative project that needs amazing visuals fast and on the go. Journalists, graphic designers, artists, small business owners—we’ve got the photo you’ve been searching for. (Or maybe it’s a video? We’ve got those too.)

The Pexels app lets you search our entire library of free and authentic photos and videos contributed by a global community of some of the world’s most creative photographers. Our app has been around for a little while, but we’ve just launched a new, updated version. Here’s why it needs a place on your phone’s home screen.

Always authentic and true photography

Discover the Pexels collection of millions of photos and videos created by photographers from all around the world. With contributors from every continent, our library is diverse and represents the wide range of human experience—this isn’t your standard posed stock content, but true photos of daily life around the globe.

Just like on the Pexels website, the app makes it simple to search by keyword to find the content you’re looking for. Save the images that stand out to you to easily find them again later.

Find the inspiration you’re looking for

Our intrepid team of Pexels curators are hard at work every day hand-picking the very best Pexels content for our homepage trending feed. Tap into that professionally-curated inspiration anytime, anywhere with the improved discovery process in the updated app.

Get access to timely photo collections targeted to what’s happening in the world right now, stay updated on the best new uploaded content, and follow your favorite Pexels contributors to be the first to see when they share new shots.

Enjoy a seamless photo sourcing workflow

Easily keep track of your favorite Pexels photos: collections can now be created and edited right from your phone. Whether you’re using Pexels to hunt down images for a moodboard, your new website’s home page, an overdue school presentation (don’t worry, we’ve got you!), or any other visual project you can dream up, this update will simplify your image sourcing process.

Once you’re logged in, all your collection edits automatically sync up so you’ll always have instant access wherever you’re using Pexels. Browse the app while you’re on the go, quickly send over your new collections to coworkers or collaborators, and check back in later on your computer to edit and review your collections.

Join the community with photo challenges

Submitting photos and videos to our monthly creative challenges can now be done directly in the Pexels app. Take an awesome photo that fits the challenge theme, do some quick edits, and upload it in just a few clicks—simple as that. Airdropping your challenge snaps to your computer is now a thing of the past.

Oh and P.S.: Take a peek at our current challenges if you’re new to the Pexels contest game! We’ve given away some pretty sweet prizes, ranging from drones to luxury vacations, and we’ve got lots of fun new giveaways planned for 2021.

Get the updated Pexels app free at the App Store and on Google Play.
